Bitmap files are images made up of a mosaic, or tiles, of color information. They are used by all computers (Powerpoint, Word, digital photographs, application icons etc..)
For websites the file formats used are gif, png and jpg. Ideally they need to be output at the size to be displayed because if 'scaled' they lose quality and looked jagged.

- Finished logo supplied in vector format for print use; .EPS
Vector files are the preferred format for logos because they are size-independent and can be used for most outputs. Printers, desk top publishers, sign makers all accept this format.
They can print as spot PMS(pantone) colors or CMYK and can have a transparent backgrounds for placement anywhere.
They can be used to create bitmap files for on screen display (web sites, powerpoint etc...), 3d software, flash movies, the list goes on...
